Your Purpose:
The Facilities Technician II is responsible for the operation and maintenance of buildings and equipment. They handle janitorial duties as assigned and oversee systems that include heating, lighting, refrigeration, air conditioning, plumbing, equipment functioning and repairs and electrical systems.

What You will do:
Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, plumbing, painting, and electrical issues
Follows work assignments to fulfill maintenance service requests on production and facilities equipment
Examines complex machines and equipment to diagnose problems.
Disassembles complex machines and equipment to repair or replace broken or malfunctioning
Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems
Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
Examines complex machines and equipment to diagnose problems.

Ensures proper operation of all club areas
Assists with monthly AED and fire extinguisher checks
Works closely with the General Manager to discuss club maintenance needs and repairs conduct a daily walk-through and maintain detailed log of maintenance
Maintains the history file on all equipment
Procure repair parts, materials, tools, and equipment
Occasionally ascending/descending a standard ladder to service equipment
Occasional heavy lifting up to 70 lbs
Performs monthly OSHA safety checks as required on the OSHA / PM guidelines
Has been trained in and follows all OSHA, company and Facilities department safety guidelines daily

Minimum formal education, experience and training: High school graduate or equivalent plus 3 years of experience in routine maintenance and repair of production equipment
Strong mechanical and electronics background. Ability to read prints, schematics and diagrams. Ability to test equipment including pressure gauges, voltmeters and ammeters.
Materials used: Chemicals, lubricants, coolants, solvents, steel, building materials.
Tools used: Hand tools, voltmeter, welder, cutting torch, grinders, and drills.
Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs or other drainage problems
Electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the building’s electricity
Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building
Interpersonal skills to interact with employees or members in a pleasant manner
Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked
Ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders at various heights and comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time
Working Conditions: Generally modern, well lighted and clean working environment. Ability to occasionally work in low lit, confined spaces.
Certified in Cybex, Life Fitness, and/or Matrix is a plus
