About the Job:

A Service Technician for Yokohama TWS drives up to a 26,000 lb GVW truck to customer locations to install replacement tires on forklifts. Presses solid tires onto wheels, mounts and inflates pneumatic tires on wheels. Installs mounted tire and wheel assembly onto forklifts at customer location. May be required to perform same functions at the local facility.

Key responsibilities:

• Ability to safety operate up to a 26,000lb GVW truck.
• Ability to operate a lift gate.
• Ability to operate an air compressor and air tools.
• Ability to operate a tire press.
• Ability to safely operator a variety of forklifts.
• Ability to read electronic GPS maps.
• Ability to use a mobile smart phone, tablet, and PC.
• Willing to assist in warehouse with loading and unloading of trucks as needed.
• Completes all duties and projects assigned in a timely manner.
• All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Ability to communicate professionally and proficiently through all lines of communication.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and follow-through are necessary.
• Must be able to read and interpret documents, write routine updates/reports and correspondence, and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees in English.
• Ability to interpret documents and write reports and correspondence.
• Work Schedule:
  • Ability to work a weekly schedule consisting of Monday – Friday, however, schedule is subject to change and fluctuate due to company needs.
  • Must maintain adequate communication with Supervisor regarding unplanned time off and give adequate notice of any scheduled/requested PTO.

Education and/or Experience:

• Education-High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous mechanical experience required.
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing/warehouse environment preferred.
• Market knowledge of industrial tires is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Physical demands include standing, walking, stooping, driving and lifting for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to safely lift up to 75 pounds.
