Under the supervision of the Housing Director and Senior Housing Director, the Housing Coordinator is responsible for scheduling, shelter operations, and staff supervision. The position is full-time and requires a weekly minimum of 40 hours that may include nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays.

The position is responsible for coordinating and overseeing housing program operations, monitoring housing program’s outcomes, coordination of resources and monitoring of services, auditing client’s folders, assisting with preparation for all audits and inspections, Case Management when needed, and to submit all requested document in a timely manner. The Housing Coordinator is also responsible for housing staff including hiring, training, scheduling and supervision.

• Bachelor's degree in social services, counseling or three years’ experience in related field.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
• Proficient with Homeless Management Information System (H.M.I S)
• Strong written and oral communications skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with clients.
• Highly organized and the ability to multi-task.
• Skilled in decision making, conflict resolution, record keeping, assessment and report writing.
• Computer proficiency in Word and Excel.
• Adhere to all client confidentiality requirements and standards.

• Scheduling staff biweekly.
• Supervises trains, evaluates, and assigns duties to the staff.
• Serve as H.M.I.S Administrator
• Coordinate with the Directors in the day-to-day operations of the housing programs. Identify shelter maintenance needs, ensuring the comfort and safety of all residents by implementing, monitoring and enforcing the rules and regulations of communal living and overseeing the maintenance of the building and grounds.
• Perform facility maintenance reviews and coordinate resolutions to issues or concerns.
• Responsible for the overall organization including inventory of shelter needs such as general resident supplies and food for residents and cleanliness of the facility through delegation and collaboration with shelter staff and residents.
• Coordinate, prepare and maintain required charting and documentation in a timely and thorough manner and remain compliant to grant requirement.
• Conduct quarterly staff meetings with program staff.
• Assist with submission of vouchers and other forms.
• Must be available for staff calls, shift coverage and emergencies that may arise after hours or on weekends and respond to all calls in a timely and thoughtful manner. Report any incidents to Housing Director, Senior Housing Director or Executive Branch Director.
• Be prepared, in the absence of the Housing Director or Senior Housing Director, to manage program operations under the direction of the Executive Branch Director or designee.
• Oversee that city, county and federal compliance is maintained in all relevant duties. Follow up with any non-compliances.
• All other duties as assigned by either department, branch or Association management.
