YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties is looking to hire an Assistant Infant Teacher for a year-round position!

Assistant Infant Teacher Salary: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour
Assistant Infant Teacher Hours: 8:30 AM-5:00 PM Monday - Friday: Year round 12 month position.
Assistant Infant Teacher Responsibilities:
- Cultivating and fostering a safe and nurturing environment that will encourage physical, emotional, and intellectual growth of children in the program
- Leading age appropriate activities
- Utilizing state and YMCA guidelines to ensure the safety and well being of the children
- Building strong relationships with the parents
Assistant Infant Teacher Qualifications:
- 2-3 years experience working with infants - this can be professional, volunteer, or familial (babysitting, etc)
- Someone who is calm, patient, and understands the developmental needs infants require
- Able to read the room and see what needs to be done as far as care of the children, cleaning of toys, bottles, high chairs, etc.
- Someone who can work cooperatively with the lead teacher to provide quality care
- High school graduate. College credits in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- At least 18 years of age
- Can be trained in First Aid/CPR/AED/Emergency Oxygen (training provided)
