Yarde Metals, Inc. is Hiring a Class B Delivery Driver Near Spartanburg, SC
- SAFETY FIRST! Safely operating the truck.
- Deliver material safely and efficiently according to all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Conduct thorough pre/post trip inspections according to DOT regulations.
- Load and unload material from trucks.
- Secure loads and assure they are within weight limits.
- Verify piece count and condition of materials.
- Report vehicle maintenance needs.
- Average stops per day: 6-10
- Deliver in Spartanburg area and sometimes north to NC and to the coast
- Report overages, shortages, and damaged material.
- Assist with loading and unloading material at points of delivery and pickup.
- Complete logs and paperwork legibly, accurately, and completely.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisor or group leader.
- Maintain a clean driving record.
- Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner.
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Class B CDL driver's license
- Clean MVR
- Minimum 6 months driving experience strongly preferred
- Pass human performance evaluation
- Capable of meeting physical requirements of the position (lifting up to 70 lbs., pushing, pulling, etc.)
- Willingness to work overtime.
- Must be able to read, write, and understand work instructions in English.
- Experience directly related to the duties of the position preferred.
