Yamhill Community Care is Hiring a Grant Program Manager Near McMinnville, OR

Consideration will be made to accommodate external, non-competitive contractual work for this position.

LocationRemote: This position has the possibility of being 100% remote.

Most of the positions at YCCO are hybrid, meaning they have the flexibility to work both remotely and/or in-person at YCCO's office in McMinnville, OR.

Reports To: Wellness Fund Development Director Physical Strength: Light (L)

Summary

The Grant Program Manager ensures that grant programs operate efficiently by supporting the development, administration, and management of federal and non-federal grants. This includes managing the application process, preparing budgets and other application requirements, as well as streamlining post-award administration through financial monitoring, compliance, and reporting activities. Additionally, this position will work to cultivate a diverse pipeline of prospective grants, evaluating and enhancing all aspects of fundraising to support the commitment to diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion (DEA&I).

Essential Duties

  1. Develops and implements strategies to identify, pursue, and manage grant opportunities aligned with CPW (Community Prevention & Wellness) department commonly known as the Wellness Fund goals.
  2. Collaborates with Yamhill Community Care (YCCO) departments to ensure grant activities support broader organizational objectives and complies with all regulatory requirements.
  3. Monitors and reports on grant fund utilization and impact, ensures transparency and accountability in accordance with the Wellness Fund's mission.

Job Duties

  • Works with the Wellness Fund Development Director to develop comprehensive grant proposals, including detailed budgets, timelines, and program objectives.
  • Works with the Wellness Fund Development Director, establish and maintain relationships with funders, community partners, and stakeholders to support grant acquisition and management.
  • Cultivates professional relationships and networking to develop additional grant opportunities.
  • Researches and submits grant proposals to increase Wellness Fund reserves, including completing grant reporting duties for successful awards.
  • Provides leadership in CPW funding decisions, including renewals, annual Request for Proposal (RFP), off-cycle project evaluation, and manages reporting cycles for Wellness Fund awardees.

  • Works to cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable services, and working relationships with diverse groups of employees, community partners, and community members.
  • Participates in the preparation and submission of regulatory and contract required deliverables.
  • Works closely with other YCCO departments, including Health Plan Operations and Compliance to assist with audits; including the External Quality Review (EQR), as needed.
  • Proposes and implements process improvements.
  • Meets deadlines for completion of assigned responsibilities and projects.
  • Maintains agreed upon work schedule with punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
  • Demonstrates cooperation and teamwork using a professional and respectful demeanor.
  • Provides cross-training on specific job responsibilities.
  • Meets identified goals that contribute to departmental goals.
  • Works collaboratively in a team and matrixed (cross-department) environment with a spirit of cooperation.
  • Respectfully takes direction from the Supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • In-depth knowledge of grant writing, administration, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate and synthesize complex information.
  • Demonstrated success in securing and managing grants from a variety of sources, including government agencies, foundations, and corporations.
  • Excellent organizational skills including ability to handle multiple priorities and demands simultaneously in a dynamic work environment while maintaining high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently, use sound judgment, anticipate next steps and be proactive as part of a diverse team within a Matrix or shared resources across departments work model.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to communicate both professionally and effectively in all forms of communication.
  • Ability to work in an environment with diverse individuals and groups.
  • Ability to remain flexible, positive, and adaptable.

Education & Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in public health, social work, public administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of grant writing and management experience in a public health or non-profit setting.

OR:

  • Any combination of education and experience that would qualify a candidate for the position.

Preferred:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience working with community health programs and initiatives.
  • Experience with Tribal or Indigenous American groups.
  • Multilingual and/or multicultural experience, particularly with Spanish-speaking populations.

Certificates, Licenses and/or Registrations

This position does not require any certificates, licenses, or registrations. 

Preferred:

  • Certified Grant Writer (CGW) credential or equivalent, verified grant-writing experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Membership in professional grant associations.

OR:

  • Equivalent license.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

This position may include occasional required or optional travel outside of the workplace, in which the employee’s personal vehicle, local transit, or other means of transportation may be used.
