YAMAHA MOTOR CORPORATION USA is Hiring a District Sales Manager Near North Carolina, NC

Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a District Sales Manager-Direct Sales to join our YGC team. The District Sales Manager will cover both North Carolina & South Carolina territories for our Golf Car Group. They will provide organized sales efforts to golf care facilities and represent Yamaha in the local PGA section events and educational seminars. This position requires an outstanding, self-motivated individual with great communication, presentation, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Efficiently schedule, coordinate, and work with key decision makers at both current Yamaha Accounts and competitive accounts to continue to grow Yamaha’s Market-Share and continuously improve customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain current Yamaha business and target and close new fleet business opportunities.
  • Manage the entire sales process from the initial lead generation, through the Sales Presentation & Demonstration of the car, composition of the Proposal, guidance through Leasing Approval, and Delivery / Set-Up of the New Fleet.
  • Participate in the local PGA Section events, seminars, etc., to help further expose the Yamaha brand.
  • Provide reports as needed, and manage databases, records, and goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers to provide a high level of service.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent. A college degree is preferred but not necessary.
  • 3 years of prior sales or sales management experience.
  • Experience with the golf industry or PGA professionals preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills, with basic knowledge of MS Office (EPowerPoint Point, Outlook, etc.).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Must be able to travel extensively and be able to work overtime regularly, including weekends.
  • Must be able to load golf cars, climb up and down small objects and lift moderate weight.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain credit cards for travel expenses.
  • Local candidates in the West and North Carolina and West and South Carolina area will be considered.
