Project Manager of Food & Beverage/Hospitality Point-of-Sale Systems

Our Project Manager is responsible for leading the client for all aspects of a successful POS Implementation. These aspects include preparation of project plan and schedules, communication with clients and staff in an introductory meeting/presentation, maintaining communication through the project, and support after the project, monitoring project deadlines, providing administrative direction, and additional leadership on the implementation or project.

Reporting Relationship:

Reports directly to the Managing Director with a dotted line to Vice President of Business Development

Personal Qualifications:

As an integral member of the company’s ConStrata Services Team, the candidate must exemplify the highest standards of honesty and professionalism. The individual should be confident of their technical, training, and organizational abilities to lead the implementation process through all phases. S/he will be a company liaison with strong customer service and communication skills.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and assess the client’s needs and the complexity of the implementation/project
  • Prepare detailed project plans including schedules, controls, resources, and validated statements of work (SOW) to achieve proper compliance
  • Secure delivery of projects to scope, budget and timeline as agreed with the client
  • Be the main point of contact for all aspects of the engagement, building strong and seamless relationships by maintaining communication with the clients and staff
  • Guide the team during the project lifecycle and provide direction to project workstreams
  • Approval of expense reporting of the implementation specialists working on projects
  • Holds weekly implementation team meetings
  • Regular issue of implementation staff scope of work
  • Allocate project resources by ensuring their availability and manage the project teams to meet the project schedules and timelines
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders during the life cycle of a project and provide high-quality customer service to maximize the client experience
  • Measure and report internal and external performance to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term projects
  • Maintain and ensure full and complete documentation of tasks, plans, network diagrams, meetings, deliverables, and accomplishments.

Professional Experience and Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in Project Management, highly desirable is previous experience with hotel, restaurant, F&B, and retail Point of Sale systems.
  • Prior experience working as a Project Manager within a professional services type of environment, managing projects at customer sites around new deployments, migrations and upgrades of software or hardware, particularly Point of Sales systems.
  • Strong technical aptitude, with proficiency and knowledge of hardware, software, and operating systems environments and ability to learn about new or updated systems
  • High level of refined customer service, communication, problem-solving, negotiating, planning, and organizational skills
  • Dynamic ability to multi-task and outstanding organizational skills
  • Proven ability to work: 1) independently, 2) within a team environment, and 3) to direct a team of remote Implementation Analysts.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in client change requests and in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in a project management software

Candidate Requirements:

  • Ability to work client/project days/shifts as required.
  • Ability to travel possibly 15% and work remotely, as assigned.
  • Must currently be legally able to work in the US.
  • Possess a non-expired US driver’s license.
  • Ability to pass Criminal Background Check.
  • Ability to pass pre-hire drug testing and ongoing random drug testing.

  • Regularly required to run, walk, stand, sit for extensive hours; use hands to hold and handle tools, feel damage and repairs; reach, climb, stoop, kneel, bend, and squat to perform installations and implementations; talk and hear, and work safely in a noisy area.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, detailed vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus to inspect work and systems.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including some holidays, evenings, and weekends.
