XPLORE FEDERAL CREDIT UNION is Hiring a Community Engagement Manager Near Metairie, LA

Description

Role:

Responsible for driving engagement strategies and opportunities which heighten the visibility, presence, and position of Xplore Federal Credit Union in the communities we serve. Cultivate current membership to deepen relationships and develop new business relationships by identifying and communicating with new markets to introduce the credit unions products and services.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and Implement community engagement programs and activities.
  • Develop community partnerships and collaboration within our field of membership.
  • Represent Xplore Federal Credit Union by attending both business and community events.
  • Networking and public outreach including tabling, speaking engagements, company-wide volunteer events, trade shows, resource health fairs, Select Employee Group sign ups, and Chamber meetings.
  • Establish and maintain strategic collaborative relationships with partners, community members, community leaders, community organizations, and other stakeholders. Utilize this network to further strategic growth and develop the organization’s presence and reputation in the community.
  • Evaluate and Implement a Financial Wellness Program for members as well as potential members. Deliver education at schools, businesses, and within our branches.
  • Responsible for analysis of relevant statistics for the business development plan making recommendations to management when required.
  • Cultivate community interest to grow membership, create loan referrals, and support strategic initiatives for the organization.
  • Develops promotional strategies to meet business development goals; Develop outreach materials including presentations, flyers, social media, infographics.
  • Develop impactful and creative ways to reach our target market.
  • Responsible for overseeing the client relationship journey including proposals, presentations, onboarding, and retention.
  • Identifies cross-sell opportunities and cross-sell services to members through in-person sales sessions as well as by telephone, written correspondence, and external sales calls.
  • Represents the Credit Union at various functions that may take place outside of normal business hours to develop community and business relationships throughout our field of membership.
  • Discusses member needs, problems, or complaints, and arranges for meetings between members or prospective members and representatives of various functional areas.
  • Maintain knowledge of all policies, products, and procedures applicable to your position. Maintain compliance with all regulations, understanding compliance issues, and receive proper training as they relate to the position.
  • Collaborate positively across departments to achieve the best outcomes for development strategies.
  • Understands and exhibits traits in line with the company mission and vision. 
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

 Performance Measurements:

  • To maintain an excellent knowledge of financial services offered by the Credit Union; to be knowledgeable of competitors' services.
  • To achieve a specified volume, referrals, or dollar value goals created from business development opportunities and community efforts. 
  • To promptly respond to all messages within the same workday.
  • To always maintain a professional work environment and businesslike appearance.
  • To generate and monitor field of membership reports communicating performance metrics.
  • To develop ample pipeline of potential new referral prospects to grow membership.
  • To provide direction and recommendations to management, based on current research data, regarding the business development strategies and directions the Credit Union should take.

Requirements

Experience: Two to five years of similar or related experience. 

Education: College degree. 

Interpersonal Skills: The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job. A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact with both members and staff. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.

Other Skills: Advanced communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to collaborate as well as work independently

Advanced computer knowledge and technical awareness

Project Management/ Development experience

Data analysis and Report writing experience

Business Planning, Development, and Implementation experience

Client tracking and Vendor Management
