The Opportunity. Ad Astra School is seeking an assistant lower elementary teacher (grades 1 – 3) to begin in July 2024.

Through your efforts, in tandem with a lead teacher and in close partnership with the rest of the school team, children learn to thrive in an ever-changing world by igniting their curiosity, stoking their creativity, and empowering their drive for exploration. As a member of the school’s founding team, you will have the additional privilege of helping to create its environments and develop this new community into one of the world’s finest.

• Currently live in the Greater Austin area
• Have earned a bachelor’s degree in child development, education, or STEM-related field
• Have experience teaching STEM-related subjects at the elementary level
• Have leadership experience, particularly in the context of developing and leading STEM activities for children
• Have interesting hobbies, skills, and life experiences
