Responsible for performing a wide variety of tasks associated with the manufacture of electronic products. Ensure all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product, circuit board assembly, wiring and soldering. Route, wire, assemble, and install electrical and electronic components in sheet metal chassis and or printed circuit boards, according to specifications, using hand tools, and equipment: Read production lists (parts list), assembly drawings, wire run lists, engineering folders, production notes, and specifications to determine established assembly methods. Examine parts for surface defects during assembly. Align, fit, and assemble component parts and/or assemblies into completed chassis’ and or printed circuit boards using various hand tools, power tools, and or soldering irons per various documents such as production lists, assembly drawings, wire run lists. Cut plastic sleeves and slip sleeves over wire ends to insulate connections. Crimp terminal eyelets and lugs to wire ends, using hand or machine crimping devices. Route, comb, twist, wrap, tie, and attach wire to terminal points and circuit board assemblies, according to wire run lists and assembly drawings, using soldering irons and various hand tools. Connect wiring to accessories, such as relays, circuit breakers, plugs, fuses, and switches, and install accessory assemblies in electrical or electronic units, using soldering iron and other various hand tools. Assemble multiple assembled circuit boards together to form final assembly stacks or assemble transformers and heatsink assemblies using various hand tools such as torque screwdrivers, wrenches, soldering irons, etc. On occasion, it is required to scrape, cut, or remove solder trace/pad during build. Count, wind, and terminate various wire sizes around transformer cores either by hand or using winding counting machines. May fabricate parts or install hardware using various shop equipment. Other duties may be assigned as required. QualificationsAbility to read and understand assembly drawings, instructions and production lists and wire run lists required; the ability to read schematics a plus. Ability to install various through hole and mechanical assembly of parts to printed circuit board. Must be able to communicate effectively (verbal and written) in English. Able to lift 50lbs on a regular basis. Must have good manual dexterity with small parts and hand tools. Good hand soldering skills of electronic components.
