Senior Test Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Test Engineer to join our fast growing team.

In this role you’ll get to:

• Develop comprehensive test plans for battery systems, considering performance, reliability, safety, and compliance requirements.
• Manage test data generated from battery power, thermal & environmental testing.
• Identify key performance metrics and monitor live testing
• Collaborate with R&D, design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration of testing processes and teams to understand product specifications
• Manage core data architecture – ensure engineering and field test data is accessible and up to date.
• Work with telematics systems to identify machine learning/AI opportunities for future development.
• Engage in testing activities (material, power, thermal and environment testing) as required to enhance understanding and engage with the product and systems interactions
• Prepare comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders.

To excel you will need:

• 5 years’ experience working in mixed background in Engineering/ Physics and Computer Data Science
• Proven experience in battery technology testing, with a focus on lithium-ion batteries and energy storage systems would be advantageous
• Proficient with data science programming languages e.g. Python/R
• Proficient with database design/management tools.
• Familiar & comfortable with applied maths, statistics, probability & machine learning techniques.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment.
• Good team player with great communication skills.
• Self-motivated: Demonstrated ability to set direction and guide the team towards it.
