The X-energy Government R&D Division develops advanced highly mobile nuclear reactor plants, including High Temperature Gas-cooled Reactors (HTGRs), Microreactors, Lunar Fission Surface Power (FSP) reactors, and other terrestrial and space reactor concepts. X-energy’s Next-generation Integrated Transportable High-temperature (XENITH) microreactor is a modular, transportable, nuclear power station for remote locations and grid resiliency applications.
The Engineer III, Systems is responsible for developing, managing, and documenting requirements, risks, and cost projections for rapidly evolving early-stage R&D projects, including microreactors for terrestrial and space applications and their supporting technologies. Overall, this position is about enacting a model-based systems engineering (MBSE) approach on R&D projects, from concept formulation all the way to detailed design.
