Jet Machine builds kits for JLTV (Joint Light Tactical Vehicles). JLTV aims to provide vehicles that are more robust and better equipped to handle modern threats, including improvised explosive devices (IED's) and provides enhanced survivability, mobility and versatility for military operations. Jet Machine also provides specialty metals to customers in the Defense, Aerospace and Oil & Gas Industries.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Machinist works in the Department and is a skilled Machine Operator who has a thorough understanding of the entire manufacturing process from start to finish. Responsibilities and job duties include:

• Operating CNC turning machinery and equipment, as assigned, to manufacture parts to required specifications
• Inspecting completed work to ensure accuracy to the required specifications and completing assigned inspection and job traveler paperwork
• Set-up machines, programming of machines, tool selections, and identification and implementation of improvements to the manufacturing processes
• Supervising and assisting with the maintenance of machines
• Ensuring finished parts move to the next operation upon completion
• Informing supervisor of any problems or improvements of the manufacturing process
• Maintain good housekeeping practices including cleaning work area and inspection equipment
• Other tasks as assigned

JOB SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

• High School education or equivalent
• CNC Programming certification or equivalent preferred
• Advanced math skills and blue print reading
• Thorough understanding of machine program and ability to make tool offsets
• Use of SDS sheets and basic machine shop safety
• Must be able to stand at least 8 hours per day and lift up to 50 pounds
• Possession of personal basic hand tools is preferred
• MAZAK EXPERIENCE STRONGLY PREFERRED
