Key Job Functions :
The Compliance Manager plays a crucial role in advancing the mission and goals of WFW by managing and completing ASER and ACCET reporting requirements within our non-profit school. The Compliance Manager will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely submission of ASER reports to the appropriate authorities and for managing the accreditation process with ACCET. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ASER and ACCET reporting requirements, as well as experience in compliance management within the education sector.
Duties and Responsibilities:
ASER Reporting:
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of the Annual Student Enrollment Report (ASER) in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of ASER data, including student enrollment information, program completion rates, and other relevant metrics
  • Maintain documentation and records related to ASER reporting, including data collection methodologies and submission timelines.
ACCET Accreditation:
  • Manage the accreditation process with the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET), including preparing accreditation reports and documentation.
  • Coordinate site visits and inspections by ACCET representatives and ensure compliance with ACCET standards and requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for ACCET inquiries and communications and represent the school during accreditation-related activities.
Compliance Monitoring:
  • Monitor compliance with ASER and ACCET reporting requirements and identify areas for improvement or corrective action as needed
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure staff understanding and adherence to ASER and ACCET compliance requirements.
Data Management:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and databases related to ASER and ACCET reporting, including student enrollment data, program outcomes, and accreditation status.
  • Generate reports and analyses as needed to support compliance monitoring and decision-making processes.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including administrators, faculty, and staff, to ensure alignment of ASER and ACCET reporting efforts with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, such as regulatory agencies, accrediting bodies, and industry associations, to stay informed about changes in reporting requirements and best practices.
Accreditation Management:
  • Provides accreditation and compliance guidance and directive on meeting the standards of accreditation to meet accreditation criteria.Directs and manages college and program accreditation activities, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, standards and processes as outlined in the accreditation model.
  • Enforces the standards of the accrediting bodies by ensuring that various program directors oversee, lead and maintain continuous compliance with program accreditation standards.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert regarding various accrediting agency standards, federal and regulatory standards and licensures. Recommends and ensures the implementation of programmatic and curricular changes mandated by the accrediting bodies to ensure the department and faculty are in compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Implements faculty development initiatives to comply with program accreditation requirements
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Work Experience:
To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily (with or without an accommodation). The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Bachelor's Degree or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent level of experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance management, preferably in the education sector with a focus on ASER and ACCET reporting.
  • Strong understanding of ASER and ACCET reporting requirements, as well as relevant federal and state regulations governing education.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze complex data sets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience working in an educational environment preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong working ability of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Very people oriented, supports a positive working environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Position Details: This is a full-time salaried (exempt) position (40 hours/week).
    Pay: This pay does not include any opportunity for incentive compensation and is only reflective of the base pay for this position.
    The range of pay for this California-based position is $75,000-$85,000 annually.
    The actual compensation offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.     Benefits and Perks: Workshops for Warriors makes available comprehensive benefits the first of the month following the date of hire. Options include Medical (50% employer contribution), dental and vision coverage (100% employer contribution), a 401k program with employer match, 8 paid holidays, Flexible work hours (position dependent), and paid time off.
    Dress code: Our office staff works in a business casual or relaxed business casual environment.
    All other positions are provided a Workshops for Warriors uniform, and laundry service.
    Because the dress code does vary by position and department, please consult with your hiring manager to confirm your applicable dress code at the time of hire.
    Supervisory: No supervisory responsibilities.
    Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
    The employee frequently is required to stand; sit; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to push, move, lift or otherwise bear 10-30lbs. Applications may include but are not limited to repetitive work using a computer keyboard, mouse and headphones while sitting and/or standing at an assigned work desk area.
    Work Environment: The employee works in an office/administration building in an urban industrial neighborhood. Other areas within the school are mixed use such as classrooms, welding and machining areas.
    Employee may have additional environmental hazards such as: chemical, electrical, flammable, or mechanical in nature.
