Woodgrain is Hiring a Quality Control Specialist Near St Louis, MO
- $60,000 annually, plus annual bonus dependent on company profitability

- Ensure goods and/or services requests are submitted in line with specified cost, quality, delivery targets focused on defined performance levels and requirements
- Support the general purchasing function and stakeholders, communicating any supply challenges which may impact business operations
- Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures
- Set up and implement quality and product testing procedures and document and report results for purposes of assessing suppliers and best sources of supply
- Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments on purchasing processes
- Provide analysis reports on quality, inventory, costs, and review cost reduction activities
- Prepare monthly and quarterly metric reports
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvements
- Continually analyze information gathered from above listed activities to identify to management opportunities to improve processes. Develop programs to facilitate recommended improvements.
- BA/BS degree in Supply Chain Management or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
- Must have a comprehensive understanding and skill level in the following areas: Budgeting, Financial Analysis, MS Office Suite and relational database concepts
- Strong knowledge of purchasing, negotiation, commercial understanding and cost breakdown
