Assistant Engineer
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a full-time Staff Engineer working as a Civil designer in the Sacramento or Roseville Water Resources’ Flood and Drainage group. The position entails performing civil technical analyses, preparing designs, drafting construction plans, and preparing construction specifications as well as project scheduling, site inspections, construction cost estimating and construction assistance.
What you will be doing
- Performing as a member of a design team managed by a Senior Level Project Engineer.
- Field review of project sites to develop designs for new or rehabilitated facilities.
- Preparing technical analyses and engineering designs.
- AutoCAD Drafting and GIS Exhibit Development
- Construction coordination/inspection/documents review
The ante
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and work in a team environment.
- Experience in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word
- Graduation from an Accredited College or University in Civil Engineering
- Engineer-In-Training Certificate
- Valid CA driver’s license

- 2-5 years preparing engineering technical analyses on Water Resource-related projects.
- Progress towards Professional Registration
- GIS Experience with working knowledge
- Participation in an industry-related professional organization
