- Manage shop floor production activities.
- Responsible for supporting and maintaining quality standards.
- Work to maximize efficiency, minimize operational downtime, and meet or exceed production requirements.
- Responsible for accuracy and completeness of any applicable data and document control.
- Responsible for having machines and shop equipment kept in good working order.
- Work to develop employee work skills, abilities, and good work habits.
- Responsible for reporting safety and quality issues and to initiate action.
- Ensure customer expectations are met.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization both written and verbal; must be able to work as part of a management team.
- Strong leadership, mentoring and organizational skills.
- Must have a high level of attention to detail, the ability to multitask and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong people skills with an outgoing, friendly, positive attitude.
- Read blueprints
- Previous machine shop experience including turning, milling, grinding and CNC machining a plus.
- Proficient in basic computer skills.
- Experience with ERP/E-2/Job Boss2 or similar job tracking software.
