Job Title: Electrical Project Manager Department: Operations

Reports to: Senior Project Manager Effective Date: 05/2024

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for managing the cost, schedule and quality of assigned projects and ensuring they align with the company’s policies and procedures. The Project Manager would oversee an electrical construction project from the initial bid to final completion while increasing productivity and profitability as the project progresses. This position is a vital role between the customer and our field teams. Accomplishing these tasks is achieved by having a well-balanced amount of time spent in both the professional office setting and on the project site.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· Field (in collaboration with the Labor & Productivity Manager).

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Plan, execute, and finalize projects according to deadlines and within budget.

· Manage the customer relationship with the objective of securing future business.

· Define project scope, goals and deliverables that effectively govern the project through its lifecycle.

· Assess and mitigate potential project risks.

· Monitor operational and financial performance and regularly report status and forecast to management.

· Track project milestones and deliverables.

· Protect the company’s interest and rights through thorough documentation and timely

communication with all internal and external project stakeholders.

· Estimate the resources and participants needed, communicatee expectations, and coordinate the efforts of team members and subcontractors to deliver projects according to plan.

· Delegate tasks and responsibilities as appropriate.

· Collaborate with design team & project engineers to ensure project success.

· Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises and devise contingency plans.

· Manage commissioning, startup, and closeout to ensure productivity and customer satisfaction.

· Conduct project post-mortems showing project performance relative to plan.

· Work with field personnel and corporate safety to ensure projects are completed in accordance with applicable rules, regulations, and best practices.

Requires Skills/Abilities:

· Always maintain company confidentiality.

· Always acts with a defined sense of urgency and drives urgency throughout the project team.

· Acts ethically and in the company’s best interest in all situations.

· Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate, communicate, and negotiate.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to forecast and plan for project necessities and in collaboration with project teams.

· Thorough knowledge of industry standards, procedures, National Electrical Code, etc.

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management or 3-5 years related electrical project management experience (i.e., commercial/industrial/plan spec/design build/solar).

· Master Electrician’s License (preferred)

FLSA Classification: Exempt, Salaried Physical Requirements:

This position operates in an office environment and utilizes standard office equipment. This position will require time spent on-site during all times of the year.

This position regularly requires talking, hearing, independently lift up to 50lbs, repetitive motion and appropriate visual acuity and manual dexterity.

This position will require local travel with the possibility for out-of-town travel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
