Wisconsin Steel & Tube Corporation is Hiring a Production Planner Near Milwaukee, WI

Description

The Production Planner handles the scheduling of assigned product lines and ensures all manufactured and purchased parts are available for production to meet customer delivery requirements, in accordance with company policies and procedures. With opportunities for continuous improvement, you will be sure to make a positive impact on internal and external customers alike!

Requirements

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  1. Review the master schedule for upcoming assigned product line requirements. Develop the schedule of production for assigned product lines to ensure on time customer delivery. Advise the Fabrication Manager and Plant Manager as to increases or decreases in production plans.
  2. Review the availability of manufactured and purchase parts for the assigned product lines.
  3. Acquire and produce shop orders, purchase order due dates and manufactured parts build dates.
  4. Expedite any needed manufactured or purchase parts, contacting vendors or purchasing as needed, to ensure availability in line with production schedules.
  5. Issue any required purchase orders in support of assigned product lines.
  6. Act as technical resource to sales, manufacturing, and other departments to coordinate efforts and to address and resolve inquiries and problems.
  7. Follow up to ensure assigned product lines are completed according to customer and MRP requirements.
  8. Adjust production schedules as needed based on part availability and customer demands.
  9. May maintain awareness and follow-up on back-order repair requirements. May follow-up to ensure parts are shipped.
  10. Follow repair parts on required items.
  11. Follow new product lines for validation and production.
  12. Attend and actively participate in all scheduled meetings.
  13. Complete special projects as assigned.
  14. Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
  15. Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
