Position Description

10 Years Running Top Workplace looking for a dedicated person to join our quality team to support quality & inspection processes for our Machining, Tooling, & Stamping divisions. The role will be a mix of front end inspection work preparing paper work, programming inspection equipment, supporting other quality process initiatives andhands on technical inspection as needed for first run parts, or as support for floor inspections. May require frequent communication with customers and division leadership as needed to support workflow. Must be willing to jump in to get any job done in quality and inspection, and comfortable with a mix of hands on and technical inspection. Comfortable in an independent work environment and strong dedication to the company's success.

Specific/Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare ballooned prints, first-article, in-process, final, & any other required inspection paperwork as needed
  • Assist in final/in process inspection for our any of our machining & stamping work cells as needed to meet due dates
  • Assist in programming CMM, and other visual system inspection equipment
  • Hands on dimensional inspection using bench/standard measuring tools
  • Prepare, review, & audit first-article, in-process, & final inspection production paperwork
  • Work with department/cells leads & production to ID and correct areas of non-conformance
  • Assist in Corrective Actions, ECN's, portions of PPAP requirements as needed 
  • Assist in maintaining calibration system/processes
  • Training operators as needed on inspection equipment & completing paperwork as necessary
  • Assist in identifying improvements to quality processes

Position Requirements:

  • Prior experience of 3-5 years with inspection/quality processes in a metals manufacturing environment required and ability to read/interpret blueprints
  • Able to use/read both standard bench & hand measurement equipment (CMM, visual systems, mics, calipers, height stand, gages etc.) independently. 
  • Experience programming CMM or other visual system is preferred, without experience must be willing to learn
  • Must be very comfortable/proficient with computers, Microsoft office, data entry
  • High proficiency in math, problem sensitivity, & critical thinking
  • Ability to communicate information proactively and effectively with people in all positions
  • Team orientated mindset, and willing to do what it takes to get the job done
