Leading a team of 7 will be your biggest responsibility while in this position. We aren’t looking for a Quality Manager who is an expert in everything, but rather, can effectively lead and entrust their specialists to complete daily items. Giving your team autonomy to be successful and providing them with training/growth opportunities will be vital.
If you have worked in Quality before, you can understand that sometimes it is very reactive. Our intent is to prioritize quality to be proactive, efficient, and add value for our customers. If you are the kind of person who enjoys collaborating and at times, challenging the status quo, I would love to hear from you!
Of course, ISO IATF audits, APQP meetings, customer complaint resolutions, scrap reductions and Continuous Improvement initiatives will also be another indicator of being successful in this position. You will have a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Quality Management or related field/or five years of relevant functional experience in Leadership within a quality role. This onsite position is based at the heart of the action – our Manitowoc Pattern and Machining facility in Manitowoc, WI.
Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry’s Manitowoc Pattern and Machining division has been machining since 1960. Since, we have invested in new, advanced technologies to evolve our capabilities and develop specializations in production and prototype machining with CNC machining centers, CMMs and custom NDT testing.
