WHAT YOU DO
You ensure the safety of the entire hotel on your assigned shift. You secure all doors and locks and find yourself patrolling the grounds both inside and out. You dont mind helping clear hallways should you find dirty dishes, towels, etc. laying out. You also can quickly deliver supplies or amenities to rooms if necessary.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Patrol hotel property to ensure the safety of guests and employees and to protect all hotel assets.
- Answer house calls, assist guests and employees with respect to safety, security and hotel operations.
- Initiate and follow-up all investigations of crimes committed against property and persons.
- Initiate investigations, write incident and accident reports, monitor investigations to their timely conclusion and ensure appropriate follow-up with guests, visitors and employees, documenting all contacts.
- Assist sick and injured guests and employees, ensuring documentation and disposition of reports.
- Maintain accurate records while performing basic office duties including, but not limited to, camera monitoring, shift activity log, codebook, and employee and guest binder interaction.
- Assist supervisor in checking alarm systems, safety and fire equipment systems and closely monitoring security of building doors, service areas and delivery areas.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Security training
- 1 to 2 years of security experience
- CPR Certification
- AED Certification
- Alcohol Awareness Training (Tips Training)
Physical Requirements
- Walk for long periods
- Climb stairs multiple times daily
- Stand for long periods
- Lifting of heavy objects up to 45lbs
- Stay physically active for long periods
