Project Manager Assistant

Established cabling company who specializes in voice & data, security, audio/visual and wireless installation projects in the Orlando area is looking for a qualified candidate for our Project Manager Assistant position with Knowledge of telecommunications and structured cabling a plus, but not a requirement.

Duties of the Project Manager Assistant include, but are not limited to:

• Support Project Management team including estimating, submittals, documents, contracts, or anything else they may need.
• Manage permitting tasks for project managers within various taxing districts.
• Keeping contractor registration up to date with jurisdiction, pulling permits, and scheduling inspections. Maintain spreadsheet for permit record keeping.
• Review plans and specifications to evaluate potential construction bids. Perform take offs of the drawing for estimates.
• Plan and Coordinate Networking Events, Educational Seminars, and Lunch & Learns with Vendors, both for customers and current employees.
• Keep in contact with General Contractors, Electrical Contractors, Architects, and Consultants to see what projects bidding are, and what projects are coming up.
• Compose and deliver broadcast emails for company and manage social media sites.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google, and ability to problem solve using multiple forms of technology.
• Bluebeam & AutoDesk experience a plus.
• Ability to grasp new concepts quickly and have strategic thinking.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously within a high volume, fast paced environment.
• Effective and strong verbal/written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Professional demeanor, with the ability to interact and maintain both internal and external relationships, in a confidential manner.
• Must successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
