Periodontist
8-16 hours/week
Location: Winters, CA and open to someone interested in our Esparto/Capay Valley location
We are on the lookout for a compassionate Periodontist to join our dedicated team to providing exceptional comprehensive care to our community, one or two days per week! As a part-time Periodontist with us, you will be supporting our goal of providing comprehensive, exceptional, and accessible care to our patients in the facility that they are comfortable. We place emphasis on establishing trusting relationships while being devoted to quality health outcomes, and adding on this specialty in house will remove potential barriers that our patients experience when being referred out. As a Periodontist with Winters Healthcare, you will work alongside three general dentists, three Registered Dental Hygienists, and a team of RDA and Patient Representatives providing care for pediatric to geriatric patients.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate, collaborate and work in a team-oriented environment supporting relational care
- Evaluate patients for gum disease and other periodontal conditions
- Develop treatment plans and perform necessary procedures, such as gum surgery and implant placement
- Advise patients on how to maintain good oral hygiene practices at home
- Collaborate with other dental providers and support team to provide comprehensive care to patients
- Stay up to date with the latest research, techniques, and technologies in periodontology.
- Meet with new and existing patients to assess dental needs and provide treatment;
- Perform professional dental cleanings, x-rays, and periodontal charting
Qualifications:
- Current DDS or DMD license to practice in the state of California, with residency training and board certification in Periodontics.
- Basic Spanish terminology is required (greeting the patient & basic dental terms); Fluency is a plus!
- Knowledge of electronic health records such as Epic
- Ability and comfort building relationships with coworkers and patients
- A passion and dedication for serving the health care needs of our clients
Hours: Open to 8 or 16 hours/week, on a Monday and/or Friday.
Expected Hire Date: August 2024
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly rate range is $93-$118/ hour and is dependent on experience and qualifications
- Paid Time Off accrual
- If employed on a regular basis (versus per diem), employee will be eligible for 401K retirement match program
- Professional liability insurance includes tail and wrap around coverage
- NHSC Loan Eligible site (Opportunity for up to $50,000 for full-time and up to $25,000 for part-time in loan assistance)
