Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 DOE

As a Staff Accountant at Williams, you will be an integral part of the accounting team and play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of our financial operations. You will be responsible for various accounting functions, including but not limited to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and other accounting functions. The Work You'll Do: 

Accounts Payable:

  • Review and process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Reconcile vendor invoices against internal purchase orders.
  • Prepare and process payments to vendors, contractors, and suppliers in a timely manner.
  • Maintain organized and accurate records of all vendors for year end 1099 reporting.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Communicate effectively with internal staff and outside vendors to address inquiries and resolve issues.
  • Maintain organized and accurate electronic and physical records of accounts payable transactions.

Payroll:

  • Assist in processing weekly payroll for all employees accurately and timely.
  • Calculate wages, deductions, and withholdings, including taxes, insurance, and retirement contributions.
  • Review and verify timekeeping records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Address payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management and finance departments as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
  • Assist with year-end payroll processes, including W-2 preparation and distribution.
  • Maintain accurate and organized electronic and/or physical records of all payroll transactions.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to streamline payroll processes and implement best practices.

Accounts Receivable:

  • Assist with accounts receivable duties as necessary.
  • Help monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue payments.

Other Accounting Functions:

  • Prepare and record general ledger entries
  • Backup support for recording customer cash receipts and bank deposits
  • Company credit card transaction review
  • Reconciliation of general ledger accounts
  • Assist with month and year end close functions
  • Assist with year end IRS reporting such as W2 and 1099 functions

What You Bring: 

  • 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
  • Construction industry experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • May be subject to background check, drug testing, and credit check.
