PAY:According to the Union Contract based on experience MLT wage range $31.42-$49.83, DOB, EOE

Medical laboratory Scientist wage range $38.07-$64.55 Benefits: Medical, Vision, Dental & 403b available

SHIFT: Full Time Swing Shift 4-10 hour shifts Tuesday-Friday, 11am – 9 pm, with holidays, possible weekends

and on call.

Has a professional responsibility for planning, performing, evaluating and reporting CLIA ’88 waived, moderately complex and highly complex testing. This includes pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical function; leading the day-to-day work of technicians, and other personnel; performing quality control and quality assurance; perform instrument maintenance and troubleshooting; monitoring supply inventory; and establishing and/or maintaining communications with health care providers, and patients, other hospital personnel.

Qualifications

-Training to include the completion of 12 months in a certified MLT/MT program, or equivalent.

-Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathology, or equivalent organization.

-Previous experience required including Blood Banking.

-Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions; to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions or diagrammatic form. Deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
