Wild & Wise Counseling is Hiring a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor Near Kannapolis, NC

Lotus House is a holistic sober house residence for women in early recovery that are committed to drug-free living, holistic health, and community.

The position is located in Kannapolis, NC within a sober living. This is a part-time, flexible position We prefer candidates with recovery experience or addiction counseling. The CADC will be responsible for the implementation of our group programming occurring. This is a PART-TIME position, qualified candiates will be given times that work for residents and you can schedule a weekly time to come two-three times a week to give group meetings. This is a great position for those looking for evening hours.

Position: Lotus House: CADC (current certification required)

Location: Kannapolis, NC

Job Duties:

-Lead weekly group relapse prevention meetings

-Lead weekly 12-step meeting

-Meet weekly for strength-based job search

-Comfortable occasionally driving residents (transportation provided) to job sites for interviews, application screenings, etc.

About: Lotus House is a residential recovery homes (sober living environments) led by experienced and motivated professionals working to provide the best in supportive recovery services to each of our residents through a combination of clinical support and community centered- living. Lotus House is located in Kannapolis, NC nestled between Concord and Salisbury. Lotus House’s attention to evidence based mindfulness based stress reduction relapse prevention, building community, developing personal accountability and goal-setting initiatives are supported and emphasized as pillars of individual self-development. As self-development comes, so does community. Community in our Homes is at the core of our model.

As a CADC, you play an integral part of helping residents rebuild the next phase of their life following addiction and promoting long-term recovery. You will partner with the Clinical Director and Executive Director to establish and maintain a therapeutic environment and routine for our residents.

CADC employment responsibilities include:

·Work with the Clinical Director to develop, implement, and maintain a therapeutic environment and routine for residents.·Assess the effects of services on other community members including family members, friends, and social agencies. Engage in discussions with these agencies to determine needs and participate in planning referrals.·Provide case management services for assigned caseload of patients. Provide treatment planning services as needed.·Maintain contact with community resources including medical care providers, social services agencies, court systems, etc., to facilitate community reintegration into community resources.·Participate in community resource coordination meetings with appropriate agencies and court systems.·Consult in accordance with community resources as needed.·Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay: $18-22/ hourly

Expected hours: 10-12 per week
