Wild Rivers is Hiring a Maintenance Technician Near Irvine, CA

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team at Wild Rivers Waterpark. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the proper functioning, safety, and aesthetics of various attractions, facilities, and equipment within the amusement park. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the overall guest experience by maintaining a high standard of quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on waterpark rides, attractions, equipment, and facilities, including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, and structural components.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and system failures, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance tasks according to established schedules, including lubrication, calibration, cleaning, and replacement of parts as need. Respond promptly and effectively to maintenance requests and work orders, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and impact on park operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, parts, usage, and equipment performance, utilizing maintenance management systems or other designated tools.
  • Collaborate with the Repair and Maintenance Director and Manager to develop and implement maintenance plans and strategies to optimize equipment performance, reliability, and longevity.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, ensuring that all repairs and maintenance activities comply with industry standards and best practices.
  • Coordinate and communicate with external vendors and suppliers for specialized repairs or parts procurement, ensuring timely delivery and const-effective solutions.
  • Assist in the evaluation and selection of new equipment and technologies, providing insights and recommendations based on expertise and industry knowledge.
  • Provide training and guidance to park staff on basic maintenance procedures, safety practices, and equipment handling, promoting a culture of preventive maintenance and care.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and regulations related to amusement park equipment and maintenance practices, sharing relevant information with the maintenance team as appropriate.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a maintenance contractor, technician, or in a similar orle, preferably in the waterpark or entertainment industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and structural systems commonly found in amusement park attractions and equipment.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Familiarity with maintenance management systems or similar software for tracking maintenance activities and generating reports.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues under time constraints.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and park guests.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Availability to work on weekends, mornings, afternoons, evenings, and summer holidays during season, as per Wild Rivers' schedule.
