Description
Cooks are in charge of prepping and cooking dishes according to the menu specifications. Line Cooks are assigned a specific place in the kitchen, such as the grill or fryer station. Duties include preparing food and maintaining sanitation standards. Wild Rivers is on the search for experienced cooks to join our team and help prepare and cook food at high quality and a fast pace. You will be responsible for setting up the prep station, stocking inventory, and maintaining sanitation standards. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and multi-tasking skills. Ultimately, you will play an essential role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and restaurant growth.
Job Duties:
- Ensure the preparation station and kitchen are set up and stocked.
- Prepare simple components of each dish on the menu by chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces.
- Report to Head Cook and follow instructions.
- Make sure food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards.
- Must maintain a clean and safe work space.
- Stock inventory and supplies.
- Cook menu items with the support of the kitchen staff.
Job Requirements:
- Previous cook experience is desired but not required
- Must be 18 years old or more
- Team Mentality
- Oral Communicaton skills
- Customer Service Skills
- ServeSafe Food Handlers Certification (Required)
- Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 40lbs
