Job Summary: Wiggs Family Dentistry is looking for a new full time dental assistant. We are a small practice that has been well established for over 40 years. This is a single dentist practice, and our current DAII (who has been here for over 35 years) is retiring and moving to the coast. We are looking for a skilled DAII with some experience that can step in and fill the void that she has left.
This practice has great hours and a low stress environment. We see patients from 7:30 to 4:30 Monday through Wednesday, Thursday 7:30 to 1:00, and closed on Fridays. This is truly a great place to work.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments
- Take digital dental x-rays
- Provide chairside assistance to dentists during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records
- Perform dental receptionist duties as needed
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience and skills:
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and dental procedures
- Experience with dental imaging and x-ray techniques
- Familiarity with medical coding and billing processes
- Proficiency in infection control procedures
- Experience with electronic health record systems (Dentrix)
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist is a plus
- Experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable as well
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an accredited dental assistant program
- X-Ray certification required (state-specific)
- CPR certification preferred
