Whitman Associates is Hiring a Part-Time Communications Coordinator [3814] Near Washington, DC

Faith based organization seeks a temp to perm, part-time Communications Coordinator to manage internal and external communications.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update website and media platforms, improving online presence.
  • Manage church Zoom account and update connection information as it changes.
  • Manage, design, edit, and distribute internal weekly calendars and newsletters.
  • Serve as point-of-contact for members, staff, and the public with newsletters, bulletins, and other communications.
  • Coordinate printing activities with the administrator.
  • Prepare, upload, and archive service videos for website.
  • Update voicemail messages as needed.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings and communicate schedules.
  • Design digital and printed materials for events and special projects.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as meeting and greeting visitors and updating guides. Other administrative tasks as assigned. 
Qualifications:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Creative thinker and skilled multitasker.
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail. 
  • Strong graphic and website design skills. 
  • Strong proofreading and editing skills. 
  • Familiarity with social media platforms. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other common web applications.
Rate: $20.00 per hour while temping.
Salary: $25.00 per hour once permanent.
