Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Assistant General Manager to join our team. The Assistant General Manager will work closely with the General Manager to oversee the daily operations of Whiskey Joe's Pensacola Beach, ensuring that our standards of quality, service, and hospitality are consistently upheld. This role requires a dynamic individual with proven leadership abilities, a passion for the hospitality industry, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Pay: $75000 - $85000 / year

plus bonus

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of the restaurant's operations, including but not limited to staffing, scheduling, inventory management, and financial performance.
  • Lead by example, providing guidance and support to staff members to ensure they deliver the highest levels of service and hospitality.
  • Maintain a strong presence on the floor, actively engaging with guests to ensure their satisfaction and address any concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to uphold the quality and consistency of our menu offerings, ensuring that food and beverage standards are met at all times.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to minimize waste and maximize profitability, conducting regular audits and implementing effective cost-control measures as needed.
  • Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of staff members, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
  • Work closely with the General Manager to develop and implement strategic initiatives aimed at driving revenue growth and enhancing the overall guest experience.
  • Uphold all relevant health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and safe environment for both guests and staff members.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, in a high-volume restaurant environment
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in progressive restaurant management in a similar environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with guests, staff members, and management.
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
  • Sound knowledge of food and beverage operations, including proficiency in inventory management and cost-control practices.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • A genuine passion for providing exceptional service and creating memorable guest experiences.
