Summary We are looking for a natural gas or electricity industry expert who enjoys working directly with energy management clients to solve problems. The Account Manager’s primary responsibilities include developing long-term relationships with a portfolio of clients by connecting with key business executives and stakeholders. Account Managers liaise between customers, cross-functional internal teams, and external energy vendors to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs. The Account Manager manages a wide variety of complex natural gas, electric, and other energy issues and develops relationships with their clients while promoting WFS products and services. Responsibilities: Identify energy related solutions to enhance the business relationship with current clients. Interpret complicated energy information for the client, receive information from the client, and advise the client on issues related to their natural gas and electricity consumption and purchasing. Partner with internal teams to execute client deliverables. Originate core agency revenue through existing client relationships. Originate revenue from other WFS products: sustainability solutions, natural gas supply, diesel, #6 fuel oil, card services, and global energy management services. Discuss opportunities and negotiate with energy vendors on behalf of the client. With the assistance of the direct supervisor, represent the client before a regulatory agency or outside counsel and provide expert insight into client energy issues. Provide consulting and problem-solving guidance to co-workers i.e., account managers, analysts, gas buyers and schedulers, accountants. Required Skills/Abilities: Experience in the energy industry Well-versed in natural gas and electricity markets and price risk management Familiarity with energy contracts, tariffs, and invoices Team player who excels at performing in a collaborative environment Ability to manage multiple complex projects Communications skills, both written and verbal Presentation skills Ability to think strategically about the client and find solutions to their issues Ability to drive internal change Ability to look for growth opportunities for the company (customer, sales, revenue, and/or technology) Experience with Microsoft products specifically Excel and PowerPoint Attention to detail including terminology, data, inconsistencies, and trends Minimum Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree required; Major in Math, Business, Finance preferred 6 years of experience in energy industry.
