Weyerhaeuser is Hiring a Remote Distribution Marketing Specialist

Description

The Distribution Marketing Specialist is an integral member of the Distribution Marketing and Branding team and provides communications, sales, branding, and marketing team support. This is a dynamic role that interfaces with distribution sales, marketing, and communications. The primary focus for this role will be supporting the distribution business through measurable marketing promotions, print and digital campaigns, and field sales support; leading the execution of business marketing plans; promoting and creating effective communications tools that drive engagement and targeted business results; as well as supporting promotion of new and existing products. The Marketing Specialist role is an office-based role that requires the individual to work in-office a minimum 3x days per week.

Location: Boise, ID

Travel: This role has minimal travel expectations. Travel will be mainly for developmental opportunities.

Key functions and responsibilities:

  • Interface with sales and business development teams in implementing marketing programs, materials, and messages.
  • Serve as point of contact with business and sales leaders to advance business goals and implement marketing programs that meet/exceed sales and margin targets.
  • Using outside vendors and internal resources, direct the production, design and dissemination of high-impact, persuasive messages and materials that advance business interests and goals through employee engagement and brand awareness.
  • Implement marketing and communication strategies and programs to meet business goals, sales objectives, and marketing targets for new and existing products across key specialty building product categories.

Field Specific:

  • Execute and promote events, including trade shows, customer seminars, contractor days, and open houses
  • Assist in the administration of customer programs and promotions - Manage customizable marketing materials site, including adding new pieces, editing existing pieces, managing user accounts, and promoting new available materials to the field
  • Handle inquiries from sales, from the simple (“Where is that thing I need again?”) to the complex (“I need a custom promotion”)
  • Create marketing material such as: print collateral, email marketing campaigns, regional materials (including customer flyers, promotions, ads, and emails).
  • Prioritize and project manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and levels of complexity for deliverables.
Qualifications
  • Four-year college degree
  • 1 – 3 years full-time marketing, sales, or communications experience
  • Self-directed with ability to work independently while still being highly collaborative and open to giving and receiving feedback.
  • Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills. Recognize problems, react quickly to issues, provide solutions, manage through complexity, and enlist outside assistance when necessary.
  • Print/digital design skills and/or a good eye and ability to work collaboratively with a designer.
  • Experience providing direct support to sales organizations. Excellent project management skills and ability to work under tight timelines across multiple projects.
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM), email marketing, and email marketing tools.
  • Understanding of business-to-business marketing strategy and experience implementing results oriented tactics.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).

Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $66,000 - $100,000 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 5% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Retirement: Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.

Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours
