WestPoint Financial Group is Hiring a Director of Planning Near Lexington, KY

The successful candidate will be employed by Succession Wealth Planning in Lexington, KY. WestPoint Financial Group is assisting with the sourcing of this role.

Succession Wealth Planning has over 30 years of combined professional experience and a staff committed to the highest standard of client care. Due to the growth of their practice, they are adding a Director of Planning to support two very successful advisors with their most complex client investments and financial plans.

This position is Full-Time (40 hours/week with flexible hours) and is offered as a remote, in-office, or hybrid role.

Role Description:

Reviews portfolios and the overall financial picture of current and potential clients to identify where our team can add value and enable clients to achieve their goals. Conducts research and provides recommendations for public and private investments to be included in client portfolios. Provides ongoing asset allocation guidance regarding internal asset allocation models. Joins advisors in client meetings to provide insight on team recommendations, investment expertise, etc.

The ideal candidate will be accountable, analytical, detail-oriented, efficient, and professional. Must be able to work well in both a self-directed manner and collaborative team environment. The candidate must be able to deliver an exceptional client service experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, deconstruct, and analyze client and prospects' portfolios, tax returns, and financial statements
  • Perform Tax Loss Harvesting and other ongoing portfolio tax management service activities
  • Conduct research and due diligence on public and private investments; provide recommendations to the team
  • Create investment proposals and ongoing portfolio management
  • Support the financial planning process for clients using eMoney
  • Join advisors in client planning meetings to review financial plans and recommendations
  • Build and maintain complex financial models to support investment decisions
  • Oversee established investment portfolios; provide asset allocation guidance and modeling for the team
  • Use hedging strategies appropriately to support client goals
  • Maintain detailed notes of client correspondence and required actions
  • Track and closely follow asset movement
  • Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field (required); MBA or CFA, a plus
  • FINRA Series 7/63/65 or Series 7/66 registrations (required)
  • 5 years of insurance, investment and/or banking experience
  • Proven experience in financial planning for individuals and businesses
  • Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency using financial software (eMoney, preferred)
  • Must be familiar with stocks, stock research, hedging strategies, etc.
  • Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Team player with ability to support the team
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
