To join this team please have the following requirements:
Must possess a valid unencumbered, RN State License.
A nursing degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
Must have experience in supervision and principles, the practice of teaching, etc.
Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices is strongly preferred.
Strong communication skills with the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public.
Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement the written staffing plan that reflects the needs of the department
Performs rounds to monitor and evaluate the quality of nursing care
Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, family members, staff, and the medical team
Work in partnership with the Administrator to ensure quality, person-centered care
Develop, manage, and evaluate department policies and procedures in accordance with current rules and regulations
