Western Union is seeking a seasoned Director of Digital Product Analytics to join our dynamic team. As a global leader in cross-border, cross-currency money movement, Western Union is dedicated to creating innovative products and services that meet the evolving needs of our diverse customer base. The Director of Product Analytics will play a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making processes, optimizing digital product performance for growth, and enhancing the overall customer experience by uncovering data and user insights that drive continuous improvements.
Role Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of talented product analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
Provide guidance and support in setting clear objectives, establishing priorities, and developing actionable strategies to achieve business goals.
Cultivate a data-driven mindset across the organization, advocating for theimportance of analytics in informing product development and optimization initiatives.
Product Analytics Strategy:
Develop and execute a comprehensive product analytics strategy aligned with business objectives, leveraging advanced analytics techniques to derive actionable insights.
Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and marketing, to identify key metrics, track performance, and measure the impact of product initiatives.
Drive continuous improvement in data collection, analysis methodologies, and reporting capabilities, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and scalability.
Funnel Management and Optimization:
Oversee the analysis of user funnels, from acquisition to conversion, identifying opportunities to improve user experience, optimize conversion rates, and maximize customer lifetime value.
Utilize tools such as Amplitude and Mixpanel to conduct in-depth funnel analysis, uncovering friction points, drop-off rates, and areas for improvement.
Collaborate with product managers and UX/UI designers to implement data-driven design changes and iterate on product features to enhance funnel performance.
Product Issue Resolution:
Proactively monitor product performance metrics and KPIs, promptly identifying and addressing any anomalies, discrepancies, or performance issues.
Lead root cause analysis efforts to diagnose and resolve product issues, working closely with engineering and QA teams to implement effective solutions and mitigate risks.
Establish robust processes for incident management, escalation, and post-mortem analysis to drive continuous improvement in product quality and reliability.
New Product Launches:
Partner with product management and development teams to support the successful launch of new products and features, from ideation to post-launch evaluation.
Conduct thorough pre-launch analysis, including market research, competitive benchmarking, and user segmentation, to inform product strategy and positioning.
Define key success metrics and performance targets for new product launches, tracking progress against goals and iterating based on user feedback and market dynamics.
Role Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
8 years of experience in product analytics, with a proven track record of success in managing analytics teams and driving data-driven decision-making processes.
Extensive experience with analytics tools and platforms, including but not limited to Amplitude, Mixpanel, Google Analytics, or equivalent.
Strong proficiency in data analysis, statistical modeling, and visualization techniques, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated expertise in product management methodologies, agile development practices, and product lifecycle management.
Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Salary
The base salary range is $132,000 – $221,000 USD per year. This role is also eligible to receive an annual bonus and long-term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates' qualifications, skills, and competencies.
