Responsibilities: Ensure the safety and efficiency of trucks/trailers for drivers and customers Perform DOT-compliant maintenance on all vehicles/equipment within our fleet Conduct preventative maintenance on all vehicles/equipment within our fleet Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair major systems including engines, transmissions, DEF systems, AC systems, and driver safety mitigation devices/systems Utilize OEM Diagnostic platforms for troubleshooting/repair and engage in continued learning through training opportunities Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment Qualifications: Pass pre-employment drug screening and DOT physical High school diploma or GED Valid Driver’s License (CDL Driver’s License is a plus) Effective communication and listening skills Basic computer skills Ability to consistently attend assigned shifts and work as a positive team member Ability to understand and implement instructions and guidelines Physical capability to move, sit, stand, walk for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. occasionally Compensation Grade: Hourly, $20-$22 per hour (based on experience and Tech assessment Evaluation) Why Western Express Inc?
