William R. Sharpe Jr. Hospital is a state-operated, psychiatric facility located in Weston, WV.

General Description

Responsible for designing, implementing, and facilitating a variety of therapeutic programs to meet the ever-changing needs of mentally ill and developmentally disabled patients. Planning, scheduling, and facilitating educational/therapeutic programs for the patients in support of active treatment delivery. Assigned to assist, oversee, and instruct educational and therapeutic based programs. Provide therapeutic group recommendations, rehabilitation assessments of patients, and report/document patient activity/progress. Provide individual attention and assistance as required to meet the varied needs and abilities of the learners, to ensure that all benefit from the instruction. Performs related duties as required. Mandatory overtime may be required. Perform other related duties. Schedules are subject to change depending on the operational needs of the hospital and patients.

Applicants selected for employment must successfully complete a chemical urinalysis and breath analysis drug screening test. Applicants selected must successfully complete a background check. All employees are subject to drug testing for probable cause as set forth in agency and bureau policies. This is a tobacco free facility.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
