Job DetailsJob Location Bronte - Texas DescriptionPerforms basic inspection of pipelines and valves as directed by a supervisor to determine areas where leaks are occurring. Maintains and repairs pipeline equipment and right’s-of-way including signs and markers. Communicates with landowners and contractors regarding any discovered leaks or One-Calls. Inspects and ensures integrity of pipeline(s) during third-party excavations and crossings. Duties/Responsibilities
Understands the company’s One-Call Management Software and can navigate, enter comments and pictures and close tickets
Understands the company’s mapping software to assist in leak locations and one-call response determination
Updates mapping software to reflect accurate pipeline location when discrepancies are discovered
Ability to safely operate a ATV/UTV and/or company supplied vehicle.
Locates pipelines safely utilizing available tools such as maps, signage, markers, line locating devices, probe rod, etc.
Performs and documents exposed pipe inspections
Responds quickly to aerial reports of potential encroachment on the company’s right-of-way
Participates and successfully completes training programs, risk management reviews and safety meetings required to comply with state and federal regulations and company policy
Reviews and follows procedures as necessary to ensure compliance of all company and industry standards to meet regulatory agency requirements
Completes documentation accurately such as timesheets, safe job plans\work permits and regulatory reports
Optimizes work in most effective and efficient manner and leveraging priority within the tenets of S.A.F.E. and Stop Work Authority
Maintains safety and Land Owner relationships through good housekeeping practices
Utilizes tools and test equipment effectively and completes current calibration for accuracy on all pipeline locating equipment as needed
Responds to operational emergencies as a member of an emergency response team
Performs other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization
QualificationsRequired Skills/Abilities:
Interpersonal communication skills are required in order to interface with all affected teams, personnel, and vendors; able to work in a self-directed work team
Must work with a minimum of supervision and be able to manage their time when given multiple tasks.
Willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and respond to call outs as needed to fulfill business objectives
Minimum Essential Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Must be willing to work overtime and handle call-outs
Currently live or be willing to relocate to within 35 miles of the reporting location with reliable means of contact for call-out purposes
