Description Job Summary :
The primary function of the natural gas marketing analyst role is to provide support to the natural gas trading business for WTG Midstream Marketing. The candidate is the main contact for settling invoices for previous month deals with WTG affiliate transmission, third-party gas customers and pipelines. The role requires being knowledgeable on current trade deals, pipeline volumes, and contracts—and entering that data into an energy trading risk management system (ETRM). In addition to trade settlements discrepancy resolution, the analyst is responsible for tracking, maintaining, and reconciling daily and monthly pipeline physical flows.

In addition to trade settlements discrepancy resolution, the analyst is responsible for tracking, maintaining, and reconciling daily and monthly pipeline physical flows.
Responsibilities
- Resolve volume and pricing discrepancies for WTGMM residue gas purchase and sales and third-party pipelines by working with internal commercial, marketing, operations and accounting groups as well as external counterparties
- Perform daily and monthly pipeline and storage volume balancing and reconciliation
- Monthly Invoicing for all WTG Midstream natural gas marketing business
- Understand all residue purchase and sales concepts and pipeline transportation contract details, ensuring all items are accurately captured in Quorum ETRM
- Thorough understanding of gas transportation logistics including interconnect pathing, daily volume balancing, storage, and pipeline cash-outs concepts
- Interface with natural gas front-office team to resolve any physical volume and trade detail discrepancies
- Primary lead for mid and back-office processes to actualize volumes with third-party customers during the settlement process. Responsible for ensuring that Quorum pipeline balances are cleared before month-end process is complete
- Support the gas marketing business for all ad-hoc requests
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics or related fields
- Motivated, self-directed, and detail-oriented with an ability to meet strict deadlines
- This is an entry-level position, and no prior industry experience is necessary
