The Meadows of Wesley Village is a not-for-profit senior housing community located adjacent to Wesley Village. The Meadows provides apartments for seniors that are age 62 and over with limited income. We provide quality living and a safe environment to assist residents in maintaining their independence and dignity. The Meadows offers a positive social environment that gives tenants the opportunity to flourish and foster new relationships.

Job Description: As the Executive Director of Wesley Village Retirement Community and The Meadows of Wesley Village, you play a pivotal role in leading our organization to fulfill its mission of providing outstanding care and services to our residents. Reporting to the Board of Directors, you will be responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of both facilities, ensuring operational excellence, financial sustainability, and the highest standards of resident care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management:
  • Provide visionary leadership to staff, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and compassion.
  • Oversee all aspects of daily operations, including resident services, healthcare, dining, maintenance, and administrative functions.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in assisted living care and independent living.
  • Financial Management:
  • Develop and manage the annual budget in collaboration with the Board of Directors, ensuring fiscal responsibility and sustainability.
  • Identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost containment strategies while maintaining high-quality services and amenities.
  • Monitor financial performance through regular reporting and analysis, making adjustments as necessary to achieve financial goals.
  • Resident Care and Satisfaction:
  • Ensure the delivery of person-centered care that promotes the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of residents.
  • Foster a supportive and nurturing environment where residents feel valued, respected, and engaged in community life.
  • Implement programs and initiatives to enhance resident satisfaction, addressing feedback and concerns in a timely and compassionate manner.
  • Community Engagement and Outreach:
  • Serve as the primary ambassador for Wesley Village Retirement Community, building positive relationships with residents, families, staff, volunteers, and the broader community.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with local organizations, healthcare providers, and faith-based groups to enhance services and resources for residents.
  • Lead marketing and promotional efforts to attract new residents and promote the unique offerings of the community.
  • Board Relations and Governance:
  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop and execute strategic plans, policies, and initiatives aligned with the organization's mission and values.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to the Board on key performance metrics, operational challenges, and strategic opportunities.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Board, offering insights and recommendations to support informed decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, social work, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in senior living, healthcare, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a senior management role is preferred but not required.
  • Strong understanding of appropriate regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices in resident care for assisted and independent living.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Proven track record of financial management, budget development, and revenue growth strategies.
  • Commitment to the values and principles of faith-based care, with a passion for serving seniors and their families.
