Wesbury is Hiring a Dietary Aide Near Meadville, PA

Do you enjoy working around the kitchen? Make everyday a better day for residents of Grace Rehabilitation and Health Center by assisting to create a great dining experience for all. Experience opportunities to learn and grow in the food service industry!

Job Summary:

Dietary Aides assist in serving meals to the residents as well as maintaining a clean work environment in the dietary areas of Wesbury’s skilled nursing facility. New team members receive five days of on-the-job orientation and culinary foundations training for assisting in food preparation. There is also annual food safety training with all staff.

As a Grace Dietary Aide, there are advancement opportunities! Many front-line staff have moved into cooking roles or furthered their education to become department managers. While there is no experience necessary to be a Grace Dietary Aide, wages are based on previous experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve beverages, entrees, salads and desserts in the dining rooms.
  • Assist with food preparation, dish room set up and stocking.
  • Deliver meal trays to resident rooms.
  • Clear dining and kitchen areas, wash dishes.
  • Set up for catering functions.
  • Maintain refrigeration temperatures and place orders.

Qualifications Necessary to Perform Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read and follow schedules, instructions, and labels.
  • Answer phones and write/leave messages.
  • Perform the physical requirements of the position which include standing, lifting and tolerate handling hot liquids.
  • Work well with others; treat residents, co-workers, and staff with care and respect.
  • Protect resident confidentiality by not sharing information.
  • Adhere to all Wesbury personnel policies as they apply to the workplace.
