Position Summary

The Facilities Manager is in charge of operating and maintaining the buildings and grounds of WellSpace Health. Will provide a clean and safe environment for the patients, clients, employees and visitors.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Proficient at Word, Excel, Power Point.
  • Strong organizational and management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills
  • Must have exceptional verbal and written communications skills.
  • Excellent time management, organization, and prioritization abilities.
  • Keen attention to detail and efficient problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to oversee multiple facilities of different functions.
  • Ability to supervise vendor performance during regular and off-hours, including weekends when necessary.
  • Fingerprint clearance with DOJ
  • Valid California Driver's license and insurable driving record.
  • Commitment to HIPAA and ability to abide by standards of professional ethics and maintain confidentiality.
  • Adherence to infection control procedures, including but not limited to, standard precautions of temperature monitoring, hand washing, symptom self-monitoring, masking and social distancing.
  • Assist and support the Center/Department/Program to meet standards of High Reliability.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Supervise Facilities team and daily maintenance requests.
  • Maintain ticketing system.
  • Support Facilities Director in the implementation of short and long-term projects.
  • Execute equipment audits and record-taking policies.
  • Create and utilize a system to properly document all requests, both immediate and planned.
  • Coordinate system repairs and monitor system performance for the facility.
  • Manage and maintain a 52-week maintenance calendar.
  • Schedule and document routine and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Plan and execute non-routine maintenance/repair activities.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety practices and regulations.
  • Key contributor and active participant on the safety committee.
  • Provide management reports as required on maintenance, facilities, and environmental compliance.
  • Oversee and manage the relationship with vendors, which will include meeting/interviewing vendors who provide services, i.e., landscaping, cleaning, plumbers, electricians.
  • Manage space usage using space management program.
  • Commitment to HIPAA and ability to abide by standards of professional ethics and maintain confidentiality.
  • Willingness to work on-call as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The work environment is characteristic of a medical clinic environment. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to handle, or feel. The employee is also required to stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must also possess hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the phone. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.

The employee may be in contact with individuals and families in crisis who may be ill, using substances and/or not attentive to personal health and safety for themselves or their homes. The employee may experience a number of unpleasant sensory demands associated with the client’s use of alcohol and drugs, and the lack of personal care. The employee may also be exposed to bodily fluids (blood, urine) and hazardous chemicals.
