The Dispensary Supervisor (DS) is a retail-facing professional, who exemplifies a strategic selling mindset and skills to help achieve daily / weekly / monthly and quarterly sales goals for NJ CCF’s profitable growth. The DS spends the majority of everyday on the retail sales floor engaging with “guests” and providing a best-in-class experience for their cannabis purchasing journey, repeat business, retention and ultimately loyalty. In partnership with dispensary management, the DS also provides hands-on training and development of dispensary agents relative to cannabis product knowledge, SOPs and KPIs for consistent, exceptional customer service.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Sales Responsibilities

• Consistent, laser focus on strategically driving brand awareness, sales and providing exceptional service with “guests” for their satisfaction, retention and ultimately loyalty in order to minimally achieve / ideally exceed daily / weekly / monthly and quarterly sales goals for the business.
• Partners with dispensary management to ensure consistent, compliant execution of retail SOPs, Policies (e.g., attendance, employee discount and purchases, etc) and KPIs to benefit the business.
• Collaborates with the Assistant Dispensary Manager for scheduling, alignment on floor coverage and managing breaks for dispensary agents.
• Demonstrates an indepth knowledge of every product and strain in the store (as well as industry-wide knowledge) to strategically sell “guests” on The Botanist and delivers best-in-class service for “guest” retention and ultimately loyalty
• Provides constructive, actionable feedback on what’s working vs what’s not working with promotions in order to influence and strengthen future promotions and retail events
• Actively listens, establishes rapport and relationship building with “guests”, dispensary agents and dispensary management.
• Collaborates with the Assistant Dispensary Manager to professionally on board, train and educate dispensary agents to support the mission, values and must-deliver performance goals for NJ CCF.
• Fosters a positive work environment by helping to motivate, recognize and incentivize high performing dispensary agents

Operations Responsibilities

• Provides consistent and accurate use of Point-of-Sale (POS) systems for “guest” information and compliant purchases
• Ensures accurate and timely data entry of patient profiles in the POS system.
• Ensures verification of proper paperwork, documentation and IDs for all patients.

Inventory Responsibility

• Assists with monitoring and maintaining inventory levels – ensuring a consistent assortment of saleable products/skus – and communicates inventory action items to the Assistant Dispensary Manager to maintain current inventory on hand.

Cash Management Responsibility

• Ensures consistent, correct discount application and cash management to facilitate transactions and sales

Compliance and Safety Responsibilities

• Supports dispensary management to ensure retail store operations run smoothly and in compliance with applicable regulations, Policies and SOPs for daily operations, opening and closing, medical vs adult-use, customer service etc.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• High school graduate
• Experience in a supervisory role in a fast-paced, customer-facing business environment is desirable
