The Weld RE-9 School District headquartered in Ault, Colorado has an open position for a Middle School Social Studies Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year.
Position Summary:
The teacher hired for this position is responsible for teaching middle school social studies to sixth through eighth grade students. Physical requirements include being in physical condition to enable walking, lifting, standing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, as well stamina to be on feet and active for full work days.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan and provide high quality instruction
• Implementing curriculum and instructions that align to the Colorado Academic Standards
• Monitor and evaluate student progress
• Prepare educational records and reports
• Analyze student data and differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs
• Conduct classroom and standardized assessments to measure student growth
• Possess skills to support math and/or literacy intervention
• Exceptional technology skills necessary
• Other duties as deemed appropriate by building principal
• Applicants who possess the skills and willingness to coach will be given priority consideration.

Requirements: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree with a teaching certification. Candidate must possess or be able to obtain a Colorado Teaching License. Candidates with secondary licensure must have a social studies endorsement or be highly qualified. All candidates need to be knowledgeable in the field of instructional technology.
Salary and Benefits: Salary range at the time of this posting is $44,300-$58,800 per year AS OF THE TIME OF THIS POSTING (salary schedules updated in the late spring annually) depending on education, years of teaching experience, and professional development credits.
