Junior Art Director

JOB SUMMARY

Become a driving force in shaping captivating graphics for web and print that breathe life into our brand. Collaborate closely with our Creative Team to maintain brand consistency and coherence, ensuring every project is a reflection of our unique identity. From managing diverse digital and print projects to fueling concept development, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the visual narrative of our brand.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Uphold high standards for web and print graphic design by creating and maintaining sophisticated, engaging, brand-appropriate graphics.

• Utilize photography, develop graphics and collateral to support current promotions and ensure online and offline campaigns are seamlessly tied together, working closely with the Creative Team for brand look and feel.

• Digital projects include monthly and seasonal website home page refreshes, landing pages, mobile pages, social posts and stories, emails, videos, banner ads, infographics, blogs and articles, etc.

• Print projects include direct mailers, catalogs, gatefolds, postcards, advertisements, posters, trade show graphics and signage, forms, etc.

• Concept development will include locating and mocking up inspirational swipe, building Concept Decks and Layout Planning guides, and working with the Creative Team on creative concept options and edits.

• Branding development may be required such as logo development, packaging, new business brand development, etc.

• Use best production practices when preparing files for print or publish.

• Incremental job duties will be added to this job description as the role expands over time and could include responsibilities like mentoring team members and interns, leading creative discussions and concepts, on set art direction and off figure styling direction.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Mac platform proficiency in: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, Google Suite. Video production and Figma experience is a plus.

• Experience in project management software, specifically Asana and Ziflow.

• BA/BS degree in Graphic Design, Marketing or equivalent.

• Fashion, digital and print experience preferred.

• 5 years professional web & graphic design experience in an agency setting or in-house creative/marketing department a plus.

• Strong artistic ability with a critical eye for design aesthetics, techniques, typography and graphic production required. Must understand brand marketing guidelines and best practices.

• The ideal candidate is highly organized and able to work efficiently on multiple projects in order to meet tight deadlines. They will need to implement quick revisions.

• Experience in creating graphic elements across mobile, web, print and other media distribution channels.

• This is a fast-paced position that requires a strong, task-oriented, positive can-do attitude who is professional, organized, detail and solutions oriented and flexible.
