Network TV Program Planner

General Job Description:

What does your favorite TV show and work have in common? If you know the answer, then television programming may be the perfect job for you. If you are also extremely detail-oriented, can manage multiple tasks simultaneously and get all the administrative tasks completed before you work on the "fun" stuff, then being the Weigel Broadcasting Programming Planner might be right for you.

The Programming Planner will work closely on program listings and programming coordination for multiple television stations and national networks. This is for a highly-organized candidate with an understanding of both local broadcasting and national networks along with experience with administrative tasks. The ideal candidate has experience strategizing programming, a knowledge and passion for vintage media, and can multi-task creative projects which necessitate attention to detail and puzzle-like problem solving.

Requirements:

Previous television and/or media experience required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Previous experience working with multiple television channels.

Advanced computer skills especially Microsoft Office.

Experience with SIMS and Nielsen related software preferred.
