Job Requirements

OPERATIONS

  • Defines the overall Manufacturing Excellence strategy that’s aligned with organization goals & objectives
  • Drives process improvement in support functions such as procurement, sourcing & planning
  • Identifies areas of improvement and establishes key performance indicators (KPI’s) to measure progress and success
  • Creates a roadmap for implementing lean manufacturing processes, process optimization and performance improvement initiatives
  • Leads and motivates cross functional teams to achieve operational excellence targets and drives a culture of continuous improvement
  • Implements Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools to identify and eliminate waste, improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Develops and deploys standardized processes, best practices and performance metrics to enhance manufacturing performance
  • Identifies opportunities for innovation, automation and technology integration to enhance processes and capabilities
  • Monitors and analyses manufacturing performance metrics, identifying trends, and generates reports for leadership

COMMUNICATION

  • Develops and implements performance metrics and reporting tools that capture progress, success and choke-points
  • Supports the development of a culture of innovation, knowledge sharing, collaboration among team members and stakeholders
  • Presents performance updates, project status and improvement initiatives to senior leadership
  • Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external
  • Supervisors & Managers should clearly communicate expectations, roles and responsibilities to their reports

FINANCIAL

  • All employees have an accountability to the organisation to be financially responsible whether they are in charge of a function budget or simply their own expenses
  • Costs incurred should be within approved budget, processed within agreed time frames & following the relevant financial policy and procedure

PEOPLE & DEVELOPMENT

  • Becomes the change agent for WFRD locations that have significant opportunities to improve flow, cost and overall performance
  • Creates excitement around continuous improvement and eliminating waste
  • Promotes an environment and culture of learning by developing training and coaching opportunities on best practices
  • Employees have a responsibility for developing their own careers within the Company including completing all necessary function, compliance & business standards training to enhance their knowledge, skills and experience
  • Employees should engage on a regular basis with their line manager to discuss their personal performance, objectives and opportunities to enhance their skills and experience to support their career potential
  • Supervisors are expected to actively engaging their employees to support talent management through Weatherford’s performance management process, including but not limited to talent assessments, succession planning & regular coaching opportunities
  • Supervisors should collaborate with Human Resources & Training Development to drive strategies for the recruitment & retention of key personal & to foster an environment that supports the attraction & retention of a high performing talented workforce

Experience

Experience & Education

REQUIRED

  • Batchelor Degree in Engineering, Operations Management or a related field
  • 10 years experience in senior leadership within manufacturing operations, preferably in a complex manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated success in driving operational excellence and implementing transformative initiatives
  • Proven experience in change management and ability to drive cultural transformation

PREFERRED

  • Advanced degree preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

REQUIRED

  • Very strong background in lean manufacturing principles, process optimization and performance improvement methodologies (Lean Six Sigma, TPM, Kaizen etc)
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex data, identify root causes and develop effective solutions
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities with a track record of leading successful cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication & presentation skills with proven ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organsiation
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing technologies, automation and industrialization concepts
